Wafaa Abu Saadah
STATEMENT
As an artist and visual designer, I move fluidly across experimental mediums, including digital and analogue painting, illustration, type lettering, hand-embossing, and creative writing. My practice explores imagination, dreamscape, and memory as fields of inquiry, while engaging the physical, emotional, and mystical realms of human experience.
Growing up as a Palestinian in Saudi Arabia shaped my creative roots, while a multicultural upbringing expanded my sense of universal belonging. Carrying these layers into my practice, I shape each idea through the medium it calls for, blending traditional, digital, and hand-rendered processes that allow materiality to reveal both form and feeling.
The result is a diverse body of soul-expressive works that functions as a container for emotional attunement. These works offer spaces to be with, process, and transform what lingers within personal and collective consciousness.
Beyond the material, my work engages unseen dimensions: the cultural threads we inherit, the symbols we are drawn toward, and the narratives that exist beneath language. As an open meeting ground, the work invites introspection, relational presence, and an embodied awareness of our interconnected inner and outer worlds.
